excellent alfama stay
public transport reassuring security river views
The hotel provided convenient access to public transport. I appreciated the proximity to the metro and train stations. the river views from my room were a delight. the front-facing room included complimentary coffee, i also found the 24-hour reception and security reassuring.
the bathroom was rather small, i missed having a proper magnifying mirror for shaving.

the hotel offers a lift for easy access to all floors, this made moving luggage simple. the 24-hour reception provides constant assistance to guests, that's very helpful.

Breakfast included fresh pastries. Warm mini nata was a highlight. there were also savory options available, like cheeses and deli meats, i appreciated that. coffee and water were available free, that was a nice touch.

My room was located on a top floor corner. It was a quiet space. i was given two complimentary bottles of water on arrival. the room was spacious, and also very comfortable.

The hotel is in the fado district and near bus stops. the terreiro do paço station is close. It is on the blue line of the metro. a 15-minute walk takes you to cais do sodre.

just adequate, honestly.
limited breakfast sewer odor
the location seemed fairly central. i suppose it met expectations.
the breakfast was definitely underwhelming. it lacked variety. i was also not thrilled to discover that there was this weird smell coming from the bathroom. it was a kind of sewer odor that lingered. definitely not what i wanted.

Acceptable stay with some issues
sewer smell limited breakfast options
The location was good for accessing various parts of the city.
The bathroom consistently had a sewer-like smell. Opening the balcony doors only helped temporarily. The shower lacked a proper shelf (i expected one) so i placed my toiletries on the floor. There weren't many options at breakfast.

Really good Location and Helpful Staff
excellent location helpful staff cheerful assistance
The location is excellent for exploring. I found it lovely being so close to the water. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly mafalda. She was always cheerful and gave assistance when needed.
The breakfast lacked some options. I missed having items like pastries available. The breakfast was otherwise satisfactory, but some additional variety would improve it.

great location friendly staff nice breakfast sewer smell missing shelf poor soundproofing
the location was fantastic, close to metro and bus stations. many good restaurants and coffee shops were nearby. i also appreciated the friendly staff and the nice breakfast.
The bathroom sometimes had a strange sewer smell. the shower lacked a proper shelf for shampoo and soap. I had to put bottles on the floor. i noticed the room was not soundproof. I could hear noises from other rooms.

sewer smell flimsy holder
the location was acceptable, near the cruise port, restaurants and the city centre.
The bathroom smelled like a sewer, really unpleasant. there wasn't a proper shelf in the shower. Just a flimsy ikea soap holder, so my toiletries kept falling. also, the room wasn't soundproof at all. I could hear everything from the room upstairs and next door!!!
